Womb Stories In Art

A creative collaboration with Roots x Qendo to have your artwork, voice and story heard seen & felt

Calling all womb-centred artists and creatives!

Draw from your intuition, your stories, and your creative spirit to help elevate awareness around Endometriosis, PCOS, and pelvic pain.

Why It Matters

In Australia, endometriosis affects approximately 1 in 7 women, with many experiencing a delay of 6 to 8 years between symptom onset and diagnosis . Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) impacts between 8% and 13% of reproductive-aged women, though up to 70% remain undiagnosed . Additionally, pelvic pain is a widespread issue, with nearly half (47%) of Australian women reporting experiencing it in the past five years. These statistics underscore the critical need for awareness, support, and open dialogue surrounding women's health issues…

That’s why we’ve partnered with QENDO, a pivotal nonprofit established in 1988 that advocates for those affected by endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, infertility, and pelvic pain across Australia and New Zealand.

QENDO empowers people by delivering national support services, shaping health policies, providing educational tools like the “ManageEndo” program, and offering peer-led helplines and mentorships - creating meaningful change and connection for the community.

Meet Qendo

We are so honoured to be partnering with QENDO, a not-for-profit organisation that has been standing beside those affected by endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, infertility, and pelvic pain since 1988.

QENDO offers peer-led support, mentoring, education, and advocacy for people navigating these conditions - creating spaces of safety, connection, and empowerment across Australia and New Zealand. From their 24/7 support line and community events to their school education programs and national advocacy, they are helping thousands of people feel seen, supported, and heard.

At Roots, we know the power of women gathering, storytelling, and holding one another in our wholeness. QENDO’s mission to uplift and empower womb-bearers is deeply aligned with our own vision of embodied sisterhood, cultural safety, and collective healing.

This partnership feels like a weaving of worlds: art and activism, creativity and advocacy, womb and community. Together, we get to amplify awareness around these often-silent conditions, while celebrating the beauty and wisdom of the womb through collective creativity.

We couldn’t be more excited to co-create with QENDO… to keep these important conversations flowing, and to honour the womb as both a home of creativity and a source of resilience.
