About Roots

Roots is not your typical festival.
It’s a living, breathing village. A co-created prayer. A remembering.
Held annually on Dharug Country (Webbs Creek, NSW), Roots Women’s Embodiment Festival brings together 600+ women to move, rest, rage, release, and rewild in sisterhood.

Here, the feminine is not a brand… she is a force.
Roots is what happens when women return to their bodies and the earth.

Our spaces are trauma-informed, earth-honouring, inclusive, and rich with artistic expression, ceremonial depth, and nervous system nourishment.

This is a calling to those who create not just to be seen, but to serve the collective.

The Role

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and grounded Social Media Creative to support the online presence of Roots Women’s Embodiment Festival 2025. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in feminine-led spaces, who understands nuance and depth in storytelling, and who can bring structure and strategy to the magic.

You’ll work closely with our Media Director to shape the visual and energetic storytelling of Roots across our digital platforms, from the first whisper of our 2026 vision to the post-festival reflection.

    • Ensure that every piece of content reflects the energetic tone of Roots: poetic, sovereign, embodied, soulful

    • Offer insights into community sentiment and trends in engagement

Who You Are

  • You have experience managing social media accounts for events, artists, or soul-led brands

  • You understand how to translate energy into visuals - capturing the sacred, the messy, the magnetic essence of feminine spaces

  • You are able to work within deadlines, take feedback well, and move with heart and humility

You Embody the Roots Principles

  • Sovereignty: You honour your own truth while respecting the voices of others

  • Synergy: You work collaboratively, are responsive, and bring a team-oriented energy

  • Sacred: You treat this work not as content production, but as ritual and service

  • Experience with digital campaigns or email marketing (Klaviyo / Mailchimp)

  • Copywriting skills with poetic or soulful flair

  • Experience working in women's embodiment spaces, healing communities, or festivals
